Stacy Stewart Smith Grand Soir Tuxedo Ensemble
Descripción
Grand soir — the French term for the highest order of evening dress. Not black tie. Not formal. Grand soir. The occasion that demands you arrive looking like you designed the room. The Grand Soir Persian Lamb Tuxedo Ensemble is cut for exactly that moment — a high-cut, short-front evening jacket in black Persian lamb (71% acetate, 21% cotton, 8% nylon), its embossed velvety pile mimicking the texture and depth of genuine Persian lamb with a surface that catches light differently at every angle. The ensemble comes with pleated Windsor tuxedo trousers. Inspired by the Duke of Windsor's suit trousers of the 1930s, the silhouette is fluid and relaxed with a wider leg, deep pleats, and a full 100% polyester satin lining for unparalleled walking ease. Also available in a woodgrain texture in Onyx for those who prefer a warmer, more architectural surface.
The silhouette is La Belle Époque by way of the Palais Garnier — the kind of jacket worn by the man in the best seat at the opera who everyone else is watching instead of the stage. Slightly puffed sleeve caps give the shoulder a sculptural presence. A high gorge with satin notched lapels and a high-top collar frame the face with authority. The front closes with three glass buttons on a high-cut front that makes this jacket as much a statement piece as it is outerwear — in fall and early winter, no coat required. Full-frontal flap welt pockets with satin trim and a self-besom pocket complete the front. The tailored satin lining carries two breast pockets inside.
Wear it with a white wing-tip collar shirt and black tie for a classically correct grand soir look — or pair it with the Poet Laureate Silk Dress Shirt with Detachable Jabot for an entrance that belongs to no era but your own. Designed to be worn with the as a complete grand soir ensemble.
