The Hair-On Calf Powder Messenger Bag lives at exactly that intersection — Western Americana grit dressed in European couture sensibility, for the young, bohemian-minded buyer who understands that the most interesting things happen at the edges of two eras.

The bag is cut from natural hair-on calf hide — a material that is inherently one-of-a-kind, with the texture and markings of the animal preserved in the surface. The front flap is natural skin with a leather pull fastener, closing the bag with the quiet authority of something that has been carried before and will be carried again. The bag is internally stabilized to maintain its shape and fully lined in polyester neoprene to cushion electronic devices. Inside, a suede pocket with a silver-tone metal zip and grosgrain ribbon envelope holder organizes the essentials.

The adjustable shoulder strap — alternating suede and neoprene — adjusts through five leather-bound buttonholes fastened with natural horn buttons, flowing into leather cuffs on each side.
