Rhombus Shower 2-Piece Lounge Set — an original print hand-painted by the designer in metallic shades of gold, silver, rose gold, shocking pink, and emerald, rendered on a Tang Dynasty-inspired poolside shirt-jacket in polyester crepe-back satin. Contrast solid frog closures in Tang Dynasty-inspired polyester knit fasten with horn buttons over a hidden separating zip front. Oversized and short-sleeved with a mandarin collar and side vents, the silhouette carries the effortless ease of a shirt with the structured presence of a Tang jacket. Available in Lagoon, Onyx, and Flint. Lightweight, fast-drying, and comfortable — the ideal layer after a dip at the beach or poolside, and equally at home at a casual dinner or evening event.

The set includes pull-on lounge pants in matching Lagoon, Onyx, or Flint solid crepe-back satin, worn with the satin face out for a signature luminous drape. Elasticized waist with self-fabric drawstring. Slanted patch pockets at front, rectangular pockets at back. French seams inside. Cut with a lower rise in the seat to accommodate movement — especially high kicks.

The Painting

Rhombus Shower began as a canvas — a Lagoon blue sky crossed diagonally by cascading gold rhombuses, painted by hand in metallic shades of gold, silver, rose gold, shocking pink, and emerald. Not a pattern. A weather event. Fortune raining down upon whoever stands beneath it. The painting became the print; the print became the set. What you wear is the sky itself.

Hand-Painting

Each garment is signed by the artist. The painted print may vary in colors and artistic interpretation at the time of construction. Shades of Lagoon Blue may vary from images shown — upon ordering we will contact you with availability of specific hues and email swatch images. The purchase arrives beautifully boxed with a certificate of authenticity. Made to order in the USA.

Construction & Materials

100% polyester crepe-back satin (Japan). Tang Dynasty-inspired frog closures in polyester knit with horn buttons. Hidden separating zip front. Mandarin collar. Side vents. Custom Size Preorder

Select Preorder from the size menu (the option without a listed size). Production is 15 to 30 days from receipt and payment clearance. A couture toile is draped from your measurements while materials are prepared. To begin your custom preorder, complete the Couture Client Measurement Form. The form requires registration, payment, and download, and serves as your client intake agreement. The $5.00 fee is non-refundable. Complete every field and return the completed form to couture@stacystewartsmith.com with your order number before production begins.

All preorders are subject to designer review. Stacy Stewart Smith reserves the right to decline a commission at discretion.

Provenance & Delivery

Made to order in the USA. Signed by the artist. Shipped in a presentation box with a certificate of authenticity. Due to the bespoke nature of this garment, returns and exchanges are not accepted. Preorders are not refundable. Shipping insurance is strongly recommended.

Care

Hand wash, hang dry. Do not use steam heat. If pressing is required, use a low setting on the reverse side only — do not iron the printed face. Do not apply heat to the frog closures. For best results, consult a luxury dry cleaner.

Stacy Stewart Smith offers made-to-order garments, fine art, and digital publications — each requiring different care. Please refer to the product description for care and handling instructions specific to your purchase. For garments: dry clean or spot clean unless otherwise noted; do not machine wash. For fine art: keep away from direct sunlight and humidity; handle with clean, dry hands or cotton gloves. For digital products and publications: no physical care required; download and archive your files upon receipt.

Every Stacy Stewart Smith piece begins as a drawing and ends as a decision — a deliberate choice of textile, construction method, and proportion made by a single designer with five decades of practice. The same eye that composes a painting composes a coat: line, weight, negative space, and the relationship between form and the body that inhabits it. Garments are produced in New York City, one at a time, to the measurements and preferences of the individual client. No two pieces are identical. No production run exists. This is not manufacturing — it is making.

The atelier sources textiles for their hand, weight, and longevity. Sustainability here is not a campaign. It is the natural consequence of making only what is wanted, from materials chosen to last, by a craftsman who will not put his name on anything less.
