Description

Atelier Quarterly technical-package calculators, created by Stacy Stewart Smith.

$74.99 every three months. This quarterly subscription covers use of the available menswear technical-package calculators. Womenswear is a separate subscription. Other benefits and services are charged separately.

Available now: the interactive, self-serve, browser-based calculator for regular menswear woven shirts. Additional menswear calculators will be added as developed; no release dates are promised.

Included downloads: an access PDF containing your calculator workspace link and a woven-shirt measurement preparation worksheet, delivered after successful payment. Use the worksheet to record finished sample-garment measurements, construction details and drawing references before entering them into the corresponding calculator fields. It does not calculate grades, transfer entries automatically or replace the interactive calculator. Keep it as your own source record for future sessions; you do not submit it to the atelier for approval. No additional worksheet purchase is required.

Enter sample garment measurements into on-screen fields, calculate proposed graded specifications, review and edit results, add your technical drawings, and export your technical package as a PDF. This is an interactive tool, not a pre-filled specification sheet or a finished sewing pattern.

You control the specifications. Confirm measurements and proposed grades with your contractors, pattern-makers and other production partners before pattern development or production. This is not a garment-construction or fit-approval service.

Numbered #1–50 construction specifications remain as entered. Only the designated grading inputs are calculated across the size range. Enter the grading measurements separately; they do not automatically transfer from the numbered specification section.

Membership means calculator use during the paid subscription period, not one working visit or one press of Calculate. Each working session must be exported before closing: entries are not stored for later recovery, and a PDF cannot be imported as an editable project.

The calculators will be maintained and updated, and older versions may be retired. Save and check your exported PDFs rather than relying on an older workspace to retain your work.

Frequently asked questions

1. What does this subscription include?

Use of the available Atelier Quarterly menswear technical-package calculators for $74.99 every three months. The regular woven-shirt calculator is available first. Your purchase includes an access PDF and a woven-shirt measurement preparation worksheet. Additional menswear calculators will be added as developed. Womenswear and other paid services are separate.

2. What should I prepare before starting?

Have your sample garment, numeric neck size, fiber content, sample age and measurements ready. Use the included woven-shirt measurement preparation worksheet to record measurements and notes, then enter them in the corresponding calculator fields. The worksheet does not calculate grades or transfer entries automatically. Prepare technical drawings or detail images you want to include. Read the numbered measuring instructions before entering dimensions, and complete the separate grading inputs.

3. How should I enter dimensions?

Enter decimal inches, not fractions. Follow each measurement instruction. Where front and back values are requested, enter them separately; the grading calculation adds both rather than doubling one side.

4. Are all numbered measurements automatically graded?

No. The numbered #1–50 categories record sample-size construction information. Only designated grading inputs are calculated across the numeric size range. Your pattern-maker determines construction and pattern grading for the remaining measurements. Style-dependent fields may remain blank.

5. Must I enter grading measurements separately?

Yes. Values in the numbered specification section do not currently transfer automatically to the Neck-anchored grading section. Enter the corresponding measurements there separately before calculating.

6. Can I change the results, and who confirms production specifications?

Yes. You can revise entered measurements and edit grading-table values before exporting. Confirm the specifications with your contractors, pattern-makers and production partners. The calculator supports preparation; it does not approve finished-garment fit or construction.

7. Can I include my own drawings?

Yes. The interface provides a technical front-flat image cell and additional figure cells for uploaded references. Images retain their proportions. The calculator does not generate production-ready graded patterns from drawings.

8. How do I print or save my technical package?

Select Print technical package to open a separate output document. In that window, choose Print / Save as PDF. Check measurements, the grading table and drawings before closing your workspace.

9. Can I reopen an editable worksheet later?

No saved-project recovery is provided. You can return to use the calculator during your paid subscription period, but a new session requires re-entering measurements. Keep the original workspace open while working and export before closing. The PDF is a record, not an editable project for re-import.

10. Are refunds available, and where can I get help?

No refunds.

Care

Stacy Stewart Smith offers made-to-order garments, fine art, and digital publications — each requiring different care. Please refer to the product description for care and handling instructions specific to your purchase. For garments: dry clean or spot clean unless otherwise noted; do not machine wash. For fine art: keep away from direct sunlight and humidity; handle with clean, dry hands or cotton gloves. For digital products and publications: no physical care required; download and archive your files upon receipt.

Design

Every Stacy Stewart Smith piece begins as a drawing and ends as a decision — a deliberate choice of textile, construction method, and proportion made by a single designer with five decades of practice. The same eye that composes a painting composes a coat: line, weight, negative space, and the relationship between form and the body that inhabits it. Garments are produced in New York City, one at a time, to the measurements and preferences of the individual client. No two pieces are identical. No production run exists. This is not manufacturing — it is making.

The atelier sources textiles for their hand, weight, and longevity. Sustainability here is not a campaign. It is the natural consequence of making only what is wanted, from materials chosen to last, by a craftsman who will not put his name on anything less.
