Stokerdine Conspiracy
Glowing In Darkness I and II
by Stacy Stewart Smith
The Story
An enchanted eighteenth-century clock holds a child's spirit captive. A Brooklyn jazz singer accidentally sets it free — and opens a portal that neither of them can close.
In 1960s Chicago, Allison Mugler's three-year-old son Martin is diagnosed with Life Trance Dementia Syndrome — a rare condition enabling his spirit to float undetected from his body and visit other people across time. When Martin's Life Trance becomes trapped inside an enchanted eighteenth-century anniversary clock, he is left as a child with extraordinary and uncontrollable gifts.
In 2008, Charly Bergeron purchases the timepiece from a Brooklyn shop and inadvertently releases Martin's Life Trance through his DNA — opening a time portal and setting in motion a chain of events neither of them can escape. Martin appears to Charly as a glowing poltergeist. As the two discover their shared origins, they are drawn into a mission that reaches back to 1788 Nouvelle Orleans and the secrets of the Opale plantation.
Behind it all: the Stokerdine Corporation — and its conspiracy to control world commerce through race annihilation. The Stokerdine Conspiracy is a riveting saga of faith, science, time, and the indestructible human spirit.
