Stacy Stewart Smith Men's Knit Flat Front Windsor Pants
Description
Flat front Windsor trousers in a stretch knit (62% Rayon, 32% Nylon, 6% Spandex) with a full duchess satin lining — available in Lagoon, Onyx, and Flint. Inspired by the Duke of Windsor's suit trousers of the 1930s, the silhouette is firm yet fluid with a relaxed fit and a wider leg (13"). The fabric and silhouette are suited to all seasons: the knit breathes in warmer months and layers comfortably in cooler ones. The duchess satin lining offers unparalleled walking ease. Comfortable, slenderizing, and durable — the flat front Windsor for those who want the ease of knit with the polish of a tailored trouser. Made to order in New York City.

Custom Size Preorder
Select Preorder from the size menu (the option without a listed size). Production is 15 to 30 days from receipt and payment clearance. A couture toile is draped from your measurements while materials are prepared. To begin your custom preorder, complete the Couture Client Measurement Form. The form requires registration, payment, and download, and serves as your client intake agreement. The $5.00 fee is non-refundable. Complete every field and return the completed form to couture@stacystewartsmith.com with your order number before production begins.
First time clients must add the measurement form to the cart. Only one is needed for all items purchased.
All preorders are subject to designer review. Stacy Stewart Smith reserves the right to decline a commission at discretion.
Provenance & Delivery
Made to order in New York City. Shipped in a gift box with garment bag, extra buttons, and a wooden hanger. Hang vertically using the hang straps — do not fold over a rod. Due to the bespoke nature of this garment, returns and exchanges are not accepted. Preorders are not refundable. Shipping insurance is strongly recommended.
Care
Spot clean with a damp cloth or hand wash gently. For best results, consult a luxury dry cleaner. Do not press on the face side. Press lightly from the reverse using a pressing cloth and low heat, or use a garment steamer on a low setting to maintain the trouser line.
Care
Stacy Stewart Smith offers made-to-order garments, fine art, and digital publications — each requiring different care. Please refer to the product description for care and handling instructions specific to your purchase. For garments: dry clean or spot clean unless otherwise noted; do not machine wash. For fine art: keep away from direct sunlight and humidity; handle with clean, dry hands or cotton gloves. For digital products and publications: no physical care required; download and archive your files upon receipt.
Design
Every Stacy Stewart Smith piece begins as a drawing and ends as a decision — a deliberate choice of textile, construction method, and proportion made by a single designer with five decades of practice. The same eye that composes a painting composes a coat: line, weight, negative space, and the relationship between form and the body that inhabits it. Garments are produced in New York City, one at a time, to the measurements and preferences of the individual client. No two pieces are identical. No production run exists. This is not manufacturing — it is making.
The atelier sources textiles for their hand, weight, and longevity. Sustainability here is not a campaign. It is the natural consequence of making only what is wanted, from materials chosen to last, by a craftsman who will not put his name on anything less.
