Start reading right away: Your purchase includes a complimentary digital sample from Vol. II. Choose your purchase option

One-time purchase — $149.99: One payment covers all five Year One volumes in print and the digital benefits described below. This option does not automatically renew.

Annual subscription — $149.99 per year: When you select the annual subscription option, you are billed $149.99 annually, and your subscription automatically renews each year unless you cancel before your next billing date. You can manage your subscription and cancel future renewal through your customer account. The publication dates and shipment schedule below describe Year One.

  • First physical shipment — mailed immediately: Vol. I: La Belle Époque Redux and Vol. II: Couture Reformation Act I, supplied as two separate printed magazines in one box.
  • Second physical shipment — July 2027: The remaining three volumes: Vols. III and IV, combined in one printed magazine, together with the separately printed Vol. V: Anniversary One, in the same box. Anniversary One is scheduled for publication July 4, 2027; this package ships once both print editions are ready.
  • Digital editions while you wait: Your purchase includes complimentary full digital editions of Vol. III: Couture Reformation Act II upon publication, planned for January 6, 2027, and Vol. IV upon publication, planned for April 6, 2027. These files will be added when released. The full digital issue bonuses cover Vols. III and IV only; the Vol. II sample is also included. These benefits do not include the full Year One digital subscription.

Only two physical shipments. There is no separate January or April print shipment. The January and April releases are digital; their combined print edition is held for the July shipment with Anniversary One.

Mailing and publication dates are not guaranteed customer delivery dates. Your purchase covers all five Year One volumes in print, not only the Vol. I and II first installment.

Care

Stacy Stewart Smith offers made-to-order garments, fine art, and digital publications — each requiring different care. Please refer to the product description for care and handling instructions specific to your purchase. For garments: dry clean or spot clean unless otherwise noted; do not machine wash. For fine art: keep away from direct sunlight and humidity; handle with clean, dry hands or cotton gloves. For digital products and publications: no physical care required; download and archive your files upon receipt.

Design

Every Stacy Stewart Smith piece begins as a drawing and ends as a decision — a deliberate choice of textile, construction method, and proportion made by a single designer with five decades of practice. The same eye that composes a painting composes a coat: line, weight, negative space, and the relationship between form and the body that inhabits it. Garments are produced in New York City, one at a time, to the measurements and preferences of the individual client. No two pieces are identical. No production run exists. This is not manufacturing — it is making.

The atelier sources textiles for their hand, weight, and longevity. Sustainability here is not a campaign. It is the natural consequence of making only what is wanted, from materials chosen to last, by a craftsman who will not put his name on anything less.
